Burlwood Bronco Trapper Folder Knife 7" Handmade Two-Blade Trapper

The trapper pattern's double-blade design dates back to a genuinely practical need, pairing a clip point for detail cutting with a spey blade specifically shaped for skinning without puncturing hide, a combination trappers and ranchers relied on for over a century. The rounded, blunt-tipped spey blade traces its own origin to 19th-century livestock work, later finding a permanent home on trapper-style folders. The Burlwood Bronco Trapper Folder keeps that proven two-blade configuration, continuing the tradition of every burlwood handle knife built with genuine field function. Amber burlwood's swirling grain adds a distinctive natural pattern few handle materials can match.

Introduction

At 7 inches when open, with a 3.5-inch blade and 3.5-inch handle, the Burlwood Bronco Trapper Folder stays compact for everyday pocket carry. This bronco folding knife features amber burlwood with an engraved horse or bronco design, secured by a steel bolster and steel pins. Burlwood's naturally swirling grain means no two handles ever look quite identical. This piece suits collectors and ranchers who want a traditional trapper pattern with distinctive natural material and western theming.

Burlwood Bronco Trapper Folder Blade

The double-blade folding trapper design on this trapper folder pairs a clip point for general cutting with a spey blade whose rounded tip was originally developed for safe, controlled livestock work. Both blades are forged from high carbon steel, giving genuine field-ready performance. This western pocket knife construction lets you switch between precision detail work and safer, controlled slicing without needing a second tool, exactly the versatility that made this pattern endure for generations.

Uses and Safety

This handmade folding trapper works well for everyday carry, skinning, rope cutting, and general utility tasks where two blade options genuinely help. Always open and close both blades carefully to avoid accidental injury. Dry the high carbon steel fully after any wet-condition use to prevent rust from forming on either blade.
